February 2008

I can't believe I'm almost caught up with this blog. I've decided to do a 'picture blog' for February as well and then from March on, I'll hopefully be able to do more updates about what's been going on and what Rachel has been up to.

My friend Ann Marie bought Rachel this little Pooh ride on toy for Christmas but we didn't get together until the end of January. Rachel just loves it and rides it all the time.

All ready to go to the Annual Superbowl Party at the Marinelli's. Just ignore me in the picture - the girls look cute though :) They both have their Nike's on - so adorable!

"How you doin'?"

We brought the swing up from the basement for Natalie but Rachel likes to put her dolls in there instead. She even tries to turn it on but she's too short so she just pushes them instead.

Ohhhh...the remote! She even knows what button to press to see "The Wiggles"

Hanging out in her cozy chair. It was a great investment - I'm so glad Santa found it!

Rachel loves looking right in the lens of the camera...not all the time though. It's hard to get a good picture when she does that though but this one is cute. She has beautiful eyes...gonna break some hearts one day.

Yes, Rachel is sitting in the baby swing. She's so petite that she is still below the maximum weight for the swing. She had a blast in there and wants to go in it quite often - she's only been in it one other time though.

Wearing her boots in the house. She loves them THAT much! Her feet get so sweaty when she wears them though...and that means STINKY!

Inspecting the dress she got as a gift when my cousins came up to meet Natalie.

Caitlyn, Rachel & Annabelle (her doll....her naked doll lol)

Great Aunt Gertie & Uncle Pieter came over to meet Natalie but Uncle Piet played with Rachel and she LOVED that.

Rachel & Natalie hanging out on the couch.

Jordan, Ethan & Rachel...with her DOLL stroller. She thought it was pretty fun to be sitting in there.

"Here's your soother, Natalie!" What an awesome big sister!

Rachel recently (maybe January) started undressing herself and her dolls. Now she's starting to put the clothes back on. In the picture above, she's actually putting Natalie's hat on one of her dolls.

Valentine's Day Pictures:

She loves my cell phone!

The Wammes Girls

After I change Natalie's diaper, Rachel likes to change her doll as well. She's pretty good at getting the positioning of the diaper correct. It's cute to watch her grab a wipe and vaseline, too. She'll wipe her doll's bum & legs and then the doll's face. Good thing it's not a real baby! ha ha

Playing on her Bounce and Spin Zebra

PEEK A BOO!!!

We put the potty in our mainfloor bathroom for Rachel to get used to. We haven't started potty training her 'officially 'yet. She just likes to sit on it when we're in there. I'm hoping to start the official potty training within the next couple of weeks.

Dancing in front of the camera.

Typical girl...talking on the phone. I love how she drags this phone all over the house. What's even cuter is how she "talks" and then every once in awhile you'll hear her laugh. We really need to capture that on video. It's priceless!

How could you say "no" to this beautiful face??? (Don't worry - we do - she's very well disciplined)

Aidan & Rachel playing. He wanted to do everything she was doing.

Tim & Rachel. Look at how good she is feeding her doll.

"Look what I can do Mom...I can put my doll's shoes on my feet!"

Way to go, Rachel! You are such a smart girl!

I LOVE this outfit! The pink fur pant cuffs, the fur vest and of course those little shoes. Oh wait - maybe it's the one pony tail that makes the outfit that much cuter.

Talking on Mommy's cell phone. She does this on a daily basis. I'm not sure who she talks to but she says the same thing every time.

I'm glad I captured this moment because this is what Rachel does when she hears an airplane. She points to her ear and the looks out the window.

Eating Lucky Charms for the first time oh her own. She did well. Not a big mess at all.

Posing for Mommy so we could send Lisa a picture of Rachel wearing the shirt she bought her.
Must be nice to be able to wear stripes and not worry about 'how they look' haha

Rachel really liked Natalie's frog hat. She kept going over to Natalie and patting her on the head. Then later on, I was trying to get Natalie to smile so I was tickling her...a few minutes later, Rachel did the same thing.

I told you she liked the hat...so much in fact, she had to wear it herself. It was cute watching her try to get it on her head.

Mommy was really busy one morning - building a house for Rachel. She kept bringing me all the mega bloks so I kept building. We used every piece of Mega Bloks we have! Usually when we build stuff, Rachel takes it apart within minutes of you building it. This house however, is STILL standing. Everyday I ask Rachel if we can put it away and she shakes her head 'no'.

Crazy hair time! Ron was chasing Rachel around the house with her coat above her head because he thought it was hilarious.

Eating a yogurt all on her own. She does so well using her spoon & fork now.

Rachel was yammering away to Natalie...I think she was asking Natalie why she was in her chair.

I nearly peed my pants when I found Rachel sitting in the Bumbo. Funny that she still fits in it. She can't get out of it on her own though. :)
