Wow - it's been a LONG time

I honestly don't even know where to start. I obviously have been a very bad Mommy and haven't updated this site in months and months and months! Truth be told, I haven't used to the desktop computer since we got the new laptop. Plain and simple - lazy. On top of that, you must remember that I'm pregnant as well and at this stage of the game...very very very uncomfortable. Again, I know that's not really an excuse but that's the truth.

Rachel continues to amaze us on a daily basis. She says a lot of words and she even knows some of her colours - blue, red, yellow & green. She understands 90% of the things we say to her or ask her and she's becoming quite the little lady.

Just recently (Boxing Day), we moved her into her new room. Thanks to our friends John & Ann, we have another crib so Rachel is now sleeping in that and the nursery is ready for the new baby (Lil' Sprout). I don't think Rachel liked her new room/crib at first - she was crying when we would put her to bed. She hasn't done that in ages. However, I think it's just part of the adjustment period and every night the crying seems to get shorter and shorter.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Rachel was a busy girl opening all of the gifts - yes, she helped everyone open their gifts once she got the hang of it :) I believe the Mega Bloks are still her favourite toy...although the doll we bought her seems to be on the top of the list as well. I just love watching her walk around with her dolls - she wraps them up in blankets (does a decent job as well), she feeds them their bottle and sometimes they even get some of her lunch/dinner. :)

I think Rachel sort of gets the idea about the baby in Mommy's tummy. She likes to kiss my tummy and she also enjoys giving the baby 'Kraft Dinner'. It's quite cute - she'll take the box of KD, lift my shirt and then shake the box towards my tummy to feed the baby. Then she'll grab one of her doll's bottles and give the baby a drink via my belly button. We really should be catching this stuff on video since this is definitely our last baby...and Rachel is just too cute!

I will be updating this blog with some pictures because Rachel has changed so much over the past few months. She's really becoming a 'little girl'. Our baby is growing up....and for that reason, I'm glad we have another one on the way :)

Stay tuned...it won't be a long time before I update this again!
