I had my regular prenatal appointment this morning and now I have a new due date. When we went for the ultrasound in February, I thought I was 12 weeks 1 day pregnant but really I was 13 weeks pregnant! So now instead of August 31st, I'm due August 25th - but of course this little bean is going to make his/her appearance when he/she feels like it :)
The heartbeat this morning was 148 and everything seems to be on track!
My next appointment is April 10th - at that point, we should get the results from the ultrasound we're scheduled to have on April 3rd.
This is fun! :)

Happy St. Paddy's Day
March 17th already. Where has the time gone??? I'm officially 16 weeks now - although that may change after my doctor's appointment on Monday coming up.
This week has been busy. I started wearing maternity clothes to work on Monday. They are just so comfortable. I'm sure there will be a day when I'm tired of wearing them but they're a lot of fun right now :) Plus, you can really see the beginnings of a belly when I wear maternity clothes.
On Wednesday, Mom and I went shopping at Motherhood Maternity. $400 later, I have an AWESOME new wardrobe! :) I think most of the outfits will get me through to at least 8 months, if not further along. The main thing is that I'm comfortable now and I have a little more to choose from. I was down to 3 pairs of pants and 4 shirts.
I went to see Rob Thomas last night at the JLC. He is a beautiful man. I love him. ha ha ha Seriously though, he puts on a great show!
I guess that's all I really have to report. I should hopefully have a good post next week after my doctor's appointment. I'm looking forward to getting the ultrasound results. I figure if they were bad they would have called me by now.
Cheers!

It's been awhile
I do apologize for not posting for awhile - things have been 'interesting' to say the least.
I start with the end of February/beginning of March. I was so sick - couldn't keep anything down and after 24 hours of this, I went to the doctor. I had enough and was so scared because this happened last time and I obviously don't want to go through THAT again. My doctor sent me to the hospital to get an IV and get hydrated again. It was so bad that I couldn't even suck on an ice cube - if I did, I would throw that small amount of water up within minutes. Ron and I spent the night at the hospital - he was bored to tears I'm sure and I was just happy to be on IV and starting to feel better. On the way home - I threw up! I couldn't believe it but we figured it was just because it was so warm in the hospital and soooo cold outside. The next day I threw up in the morning as well and I told myself that if I did that again, I was going straight back to the hospital. Thankfully it didn't happen again...that day...or the next day...or the day after :) I took the rest of the week off work because I was so weak from not having anything in my system and I was on a liquid diet at this point still. Baby sips of my drink, every 10 minutes. Do you know how hard that is when you're REALLY thirsty? Oh well, I survived :)
The following week I was back at work and that first day was a killer - I was exhuasted by the time I got home. I just wanted to sleep. I did survive the week and I only threw up twice - in the mornings after breakfast. THAT, I can handle.
I went to see my doctor last Monday - after all of this happened - and I've lost a total of 21lbs since I got pregnant. I'm happy to report that I have put on 2 pounds now though :) ANNND the most exciting part - I can't suck in my belly anymore. I am officially showing FOR SURE now! I got to hear the heartbeat at the doctor's office - it was in the 150's and then he measured me. He thinks I'm further along because he found the heartbeat so high in my belly and because I'm showing so much as well, for this stage of the game. I'm going back to see him on the 20th because he ordered the ultrasound results. That will for sure tell us how far along I really am. I can't wait for that appointment :) Only one more week!
I'm happy to report that I do have some energy now. In fact, I did some laundry today and I even put allllll of my clothes away (from when Ron did laundry). I also moved all the shirts that don't fit me into another closet and now it's just maternity shirts in my closet. Tomorrow will be the first day that I wear them. How weird!
I guess that's all I have to report. I will have some more news after my next doctor's appointment.
Until then...CHEERS!
Jules
