Rachel started sleeping in her new room on Boxing Day. It's still a work in progress but we're getting there. All we have left to do is paint some butterflies and flowers on the walls. I'm not in a big hurry to do that because I'm not sure of the placement of the furniture once we get the crib out of there. Our friends John & Ann gave us the crib for Rachel - thank goodness! We didn't want to go out and buy another one when we knew we would only need it for a few months. We thought about moving Rachel into the 'big girl' bed at the same time we moved her into the new room but the more we thought about it, the more we thought that we wouldn't rush things - she's just a little girl. Not to mention all the other changes that were going on (Mommy being at home again, Lil' Sprout's arrival, the new room, etc.)
We are going to use Ron's old bed for the time being. This is the bed he had a little boy and there is a matching dresser. They are in great shape so why not, right? Auntie Linda bought Rachel the quilt for her 1st birthday. We bought the rest of the stuff to go with it.
Look how cute she looks in her crib. :) I forgot to take a picture of the other wall - maybe next time (when it's all done).
