OB appointment today

Well, Dr. M doesn't think I'll go full term with this pregnancy. He said that I could have the baby in 3-4 weeks (I'm 33 weeks and 5 days right now). HOLY CRAP IN YOUR SHORTS - I am not ready for a baby in 3-4 weeks! lol I figure now though with him telling me that - I'll FOR SURE be overdue! :)

My blood pressure is high (144/90) so I have to monitor that from now on and the minute it's over 140/90, I have to call his office or the birthing centre. When they took my blood pressure the second time, it did come down a bit but it's still high.

The baby's heartbeat was 153 this morning and Dr. M said 'Oh, a little girl'. I think this is just a myth though because I know a couple of people who have been told the same thing because of the high heartbeat and they had boys.

His/her head is down and 'ready to go' as the doctor put it. When he said that, I replied with 'But I'm not ready for this' He just smiled. I measured 33.5cm and I'm 33 weeks and 5 days so he's happy with that. I have finally met my pre-pregnancy weight so from here on in, it's considered weight 'gain'. I'm pretty happy about that considering I only have 6 weeks and 2 days to go until my due date - or even less now. OY!

So, no more cleaning, cooking or doing laundry and I can only use the stairs at home (have to use the elevator at work) and when I use the stairs at home, I have to really make sure it's necessary. When I told Ron this he asked "Did you get a doctor's note for this?" Poor guy - he's REALLY going to be busy now! :) Good thing all of the baby laundry is done (did the last load last night) and even our laundry is caught up. I promised my doctor I would take it easy and monitor my blood pressure because otherwise he was going to make me be done work now (I'm planning on working until a week before my due date).

Oh the joys of being preggers, eh? :)
