Hot hot hot - it's a heat wave

Ok - we've been lucky this summer (or at least I have) so far because the weather has been 'ok'. There have been some hot days but it would usually cool down at night. Well, not so much the case for the past few days/nights. Thank goodness for a/c and for Wayne & Lennie's pool (my parents neighbours). They have been so awesome - they let us use the pool whenever we want. Yesterday we were in there for a good couple of hours - well, at least I was. I was so wrinkled when I got out but I didn't care because it cooled me down.

So far today, I've done a load of laundry (don't worry - Ron carried it downstairs and upstairs for me) and I have another load in there now. After that, it's time to shower and then head over to the pool again. It's just too hot to do anything else (going up to 35 today and that's before you add the humidex) and I don't feel like watching tv or reading (already done that this morning).

40 more days until my due date...wonder how many more heat waves there will be?
