Hospital Pre-Registration & good work news!

Well, I'm all registered at the hospital and ready to go! The appointment went very well yesterday and I'm glad I went actually. It was very informative and they gave me a ton of reading material to go over beforehand. I'll be looking at one of the pages today because I need to pack my hospital bag. The nurse told me yesterday that since I'm in the homestretch, I really could go at any time so I should get it packed. I was talking to Annette on the phone last night and she said it's much easier to pack the bag when you're not having contractions :)

I found out at work that they will top up our maternity AND parental leave. So that means for the full year I'm off, I'll get topped up to 70% or 80%. I don't have many more details yet but once Ann Marie is back in the office next week, I'll be having a little chat with her. It's effective September 1st but I have faith in them that they will take care of me if I have the baby earlier than that.

27 days to go...or 34 days to go until September 1 :)
