A new kitchen

Grandad has been very busy making this kitchen for the girls...

The time on the oven is 12:18. 12 for Rachel's birthday (Aug 12) and 18 for Natalie's birthday (Jan 18). What's even cooler is that 12:18 is MY birthday (Dec 18). So neat that the girls dates work out to be my birthdate :)

Close up of the burners and sink

Rachel was jumping around with excitement when she saw the kitchen.

Then she started running around the playroom

Grandad giving Rachel the tour. There's even an ice cube tray in the freezer :)

Natalie didn't get too close to the kitchen. She just stayed by the table and munched on a spoon

Putting her groceries away in the fridge.

Finding a home for her pots & pans

Remember to always wear oven mitts when you're using the oven!

Mmmm...a ketchup bottle!

Smart cookie to grab her stool so she can reach the microwave

It is the cutest thing - push the green buttons and then the yellow button and it sounds like a real microwave and even the tray inside spins!

She loves her new kitchen!

Thanks Grandad - this will provide years of entertainment!

That's a pretty fab kitchen. Their grampa is a lot smarter than Nikki Dee's grampa.

How cool!

My favorite childhood "toy" was a cardboard playhouse that had a white picket fence painted on the outside. It was a simple, square cardboard box with nothing inside (other than me), with cut outs for windows, painted on the outside. I can only imagine what a lasting impression the kitchen will make on your girls!
