A Santa Poll

Now that Rachel is getting to the age where she understands who Santa is, we're trying to figure out what to do about the gifts from Santa at Christmas.

When I was growing up, Santa always left a bunch of gifts - ranging from small to large - unwrapped on the couch. When Ron was growing up, Santa left one gift - wrapped. I loved walking into the living room on Christmas morning to see what Santa left for me - and the best part was that I could play with everything right away because it wasn't wrapped. It does however make sense for Santa leave one gift because how would he have time to deliver all those gifts to every kid otherwise?!

To get some feedback, here's a poll...

Santa leaves a stocking and the articles are wrapped. When ND gets older, there might be a Santa gift or two for her, I suspect.

Santa always filled our stockings with small gifts such as candy and fruit (I usually had earrings or another kind of jewelry in their too). And he left LOTS of unwrapped gifts for us. My brother and I always had a big gift to share, ex: go cart, trampoline, etc.

i really like the idea of santa bring one wrapped gift. it makes it a lot easier although he usually leaves a couple no more than three but usually just two wrapped gifts. it gets tough the older the girls get i have to remind them santa has a budget too. ;0)

Santa always left us a few wrapped presents (maybe 2 or 3) and then one unwrapped gift-- usually a stuffed animal that I could then take back to bed and sleep with until my parents got up! I loved that I had something immediate to play with, and my parents loved that I would go back to bed for a while. :)
