Well, there is no doubt in my mind that winter has arrived now! It is -21 right now and I feel so bad for Ron who has to work outside in this crap! I'm quite happy that I don't have to go anywhere today. It's definitely a day to stay close to the fireplace. The back part of our house is nice & warm but the 3 bedrooms upstairs that are in the front of the house - FREEZING!!!! I'm so glad we have a little heater in Rachel's room because the wind really whips by the front of the house. Our bedroom (at the back) isn't as cold as those rooms in the front. However, in the afternoon, when the sun is shining in the 3 bedrooms in the front, it gets VERY HOT! Yes, HOT! Enough talking about the cold though...
Rachel had apples for the first time this weekend. I don't think she was too sure of them - she made quite a few funny faces as well. Maybe she was just pretending to be her Daddy though! ha ha
Ron always manages to get the cutest smiles out of Rachel when he takes the weekly pig picture. I think he should take them every week from now on!
Rachel helped Grandad open his gifts this weekend as we celebrated his 60th birthday! We had a little surprise party for him yesterday at the annual Superbowl party. It was a lot of fun and Rachel was a really good girl, as well! She even won 2 out of the 4 pools we had going for the game! YAY RACHEL!!!
Since it was so cold yesterday, we really made sure she was bundled up before we went to Church and out for breakfast afterwards. I realize that pink & red don't go together but when the weather is as nasty as it was yesterday, you don't go for style - you go for comfort! However, I'm not sure how comfortable Rachel was wearing this little coat - she could hardly move her arms! ha ha
It's hard to believe that another weekend is over. *sigh*
We are going to the doctor tomorrow for her 6 month needles and a check up. It will be interesting to see how much Rachel weighs now...and even how long she is. I'm just not looking forward to the needles again....however, Ron wil be there and he can hold her legs again since he did such a great job last time : )
Ok, I'm freezing my butt off in the computer room so it's time to go back downstairs in front of the fireplace and do a few Sudoku puzzles before Rachel wakes up from her morning nap!

Hi Julie and Rachel!
It sounds like you had a busy weekend - they do fly by quickly, don't they? :) Isn't it just bitterly cold out? Brrr...poor hubby!
It looks like Rachel (and I think you guys!) are having lots of fun trying new foods with Rachel...i can't wait to do that with Calder!
I hope you're keeping well and that Rachel's appt. goes by quickly and without too much pain, poor darling. :(
